The lower support carries a guide sleeve and the upper one a matching pin with a short locating boss. A separate spring surrounds this telescoping guide; shallow outer rims locate its ends. Both supports have side mounting ears. Set spring inside and outside diameters, guide length, pin diameter, clearance, floor thickness, rim width and screw hole. For weak springs that can be compressed easily by hand in small craft return mechanisms. Keep at least 5 mm guide overlap with the spring fitted. The spring-seat separation must stay greater than guide length plus 2 mm; check solid height and permitted spring travel separately. Spring not included; the parts do not retain one another when pulled apart. Have your own 3D printer? Set the dimensions, download the STL file or 3D model and print the part yourself.
